Before placing the roofbars on the vehicle, check the bar length and attachment strength.
Bar length "L" shall not be less than:
Small:   124 cm or 49 inches
Medium:    142 cm or 56 inches
Large:    160 cm or 63 inches

Again, make sure your roof bars are not too short

From the side of the vehicle, lift up the tent and carefully place it on the roof bars.  Adjust the tent so it is centered on the bars and the weight is well distributed.  Check that the tent doesn't interfere with opening the lift gate.

Eight plates and "U" or carriage bolts are use to attach the tent to the roof bars.

Insert 4 attachment plates with their bolts (assembled according to figure 4a) in the two slotted metal rails molded into the tent's base

Slide the attachment plates until they reach the roofbar "C"

Lift the edge of the tent.  Slide the plate until the bolts are on either side of roofbar "C".  Do this to all sides before bolting the bottom plates.

Place the four bottom plates in position and tighten the nuts.  Drive a short way and tighten again.
Check the roofbar towers to make sure all their fasteners are tight also.

Open the three latches, two in front, one in back, insert the crank and turn.  If the tent doesn't open easily, check to see if something is obstructing the mechanism (pillows, suitcases).  Warning:  never force the crank, you could damage the lifting mechanism.

The rack (Adventure model) is designed for bulky items.  The allowed weight depends on the vehicle, weight up high can affect your vehicles handling characteristics.   It is important to load only light luggage and use suitable straps which wrap around the tent.  Never attach the luggage only to the aluminum rails.  When opening and closing the tent, we suggest you unload the luggage.

Tuck the fabric in when closing.  There are special inner pockets in the front and rear of the tent.  Caution:  Do not travel with fabric pinched between the shells.  It can result in abrasion damage.

You can store the ladder inside the tent with the hooks up, so they don't hurt the mattress.

The ladder is adjustable.  It is designed to hook on the drip-rails of your vehicle or the base of the tent

On the Ghibli version (2 doors), the ladder is designed to connect to the side opposite the crank.  The guard for the lifting mechanism interferes and could be damaged.

We suggest you don't grab the sides of the doorway.  It could tear the fabric where it attached at the base

The light can be connected to the car's battery using an appropriate lighter fitting.  The cord doesn't come connected to the light so you can add other fixtures (fans, chart lights).

Caution:  Any weight placed on the roof can change the way a car handles.  Please reduce speed according to driving conditions.  Drive safely.
